Timekeeping & Payroll

Restaurant Manager provides a built-in time clock. Employees clock in and out at the beginning and end of their shift. For each shift, Restaurant Manager can print a time slip showing the hours worked and wages earned. Restaurant Manager also provides a variety of reports that highlight employee performance in areas such as sales, voids and deletions, and employee meals.

For ultimate timekeeping security, Restaurant Manager offers fingerprint recognition.  Rather than entering a password to clock in and out of the system, employees must place their finger on a fingerprint reader.  Only if the fingerprint matches the stored image in Restaurant Manager is the employee allowed to be on the clock.

Employee Scheduling

Restaurant Manager includes one of the most comprehensive and user-friendly Employee Scheduling packages on the market.  With high turnover and unreliable staff, scheduling employees can be one of the biggest headaches faced by restaurant owners and managers.  Restaurant Manager's Employee Scheduling module turns this tedious and time consuming task into a quick and simple process.

You simply enter the parameters for each employee.  For example, Sally can work on Mon, Wed, Fri evenings and all day Saturday and ideally, wants to work about 20 hours per week.  She is a great waitress, but an even better hostess.  Then you enter the desired staffing levels for each job category (i.e., how many waitresses, cooks, bartenders you need for different times each day) and press a button and Restaurant Manager generates the work schedule for you.  The automatic work schedule uses different colors to highlight problem conditions, such as an employee going into overtime, or periods when you are under or over staffed.

Employee schedules can be automatically broadcast to the internet and for those problematic employees, it can automatically send e-mail notification to remind them of their work schedule.

Job Categories

Each employee may work up to 5 different jobs, each with a different hourly rate. Employees working 2 or more jobs are required to specify a job category when clocking in.

Revenue and Tip Tracking

Restaurant Manager automatically tracks revenues and tips for waiters and waitresses. When employees clock out at the end of a shift, Restaurant Manager prints a report showing revenues (broken down by method of payment) and tips. The report also shows sales broken down by menu category (i.e., food sales, beverage sales, deserts, appetizers, etc.).
